What if nine days could gently change your life?
The first time I experienced Navaratri, I thought it was simply a beautiful Indian festival celebrating the Goddess.
I had no idea it would become one of the most transformative practices of my life.
Over nine days we journey with the Nine Faces of Durga. Each Goddess reveals a different quality of strength, wisdom and compassion already living within us. At the same time, she gently shines a light on the habits, assumptions and patterns that may be quietly limiting our lives.
Not to judge them.
Simply to see them.
Because we cannot change what we cannot see.
I have come to think of Navaratri as an annual opportunity to pause and take an honest, compassionate inventory of our lives.
Where have I lost confidence?
Where am I holding on too tightly?
What fear keeps me playing small?
What wants to be expressed through me now?
Each day offers simple practices of reflection, mantra, meditation, creativity and journalling. Together they create space for something remarkable to happen.
Not because the Goddesses magically change us.
But because they become mirrors.
We begin to recognise our own courage.
Our own resilience.
Our own wisdom.
Our own capacity to begin again.
By the end of the nine days, many people discover that the greatest transformation isn't becoming someone new.
It's remembering the extraordinary person they have always been.
If you're feeling ready to pause, reflect and gently realign your life before the year gathers pace again, I'd love you to join me for this year's online Navaratri journey.
Together we'll explore the wisdom of the Nine Durgas, one day at a time, and discover how these ancient teachings can illuminate the very modern challenges we all face.
