Creating the Field of Intention: Where Magic, Creativity and Connection Unfold

There is something that happens when women gather with intention.

Not to perform. Not to compete. Not to fix one another.

Simply to meet.

Again and again throughout history, women have gathered around stories, around fires, around kitchen tables, around sacred texts and creative practices. They have come together to make meaning of their lives, to celebrate, to grieve, to learn, and to remember who they are.

When this happens regularly, something extraordinary begins to unfold.

A field is created.

A space where women can arrive exactly as they are and discover that they are not alone in their questions, challenges, dreams, and longings.

One woman's insight becomes another woman's revelation.

One woman's courage becomes another woman's permission.

One woman's story opens a door for everyone.

This is where the magic begins.

Not magic as unrealistic fantasy.

Magic through

acknowledging life is magic.

Magic as transformation.

Magic as seeing something differently.

Magic as finding a strength you didn't know you had.

Magic as discovering that the wisdom you have been seeking is already quietly waiting within you.

The Secret Sauce

Over the years, I have found that while intention creates the field, creativity opens the door.

When we move beyond talking and engage our imagination, something deeper begins to emerge.

This is part of the inspiration behind The Way of the Goddess and the Shakti Salons.

Each week we explore one of the twelve Goddess archetypes through story, reflection, mantra, yantra, and Devi Doodles.

Simple practices.

Nothing complicated.

Nothing to master.

Just invitations to engage with life differently.

To see through the eyes of Durga's courage. To feel Lakshmi's abundance. To awaken Saraswati's creativity. To discover Kali's fierce truth.

The myths become mirrors.

The archetypes become companions.

The Goddess becomes something more than an idea.

She becomes alive in everyday life.

A Grown-Up Storybook

In many ways, The Way of the Goddess is a grown-up storybook.

A creative playbook.

A place where colouring yantras, reflecting on myths, journaling insights, and sharing experiences become pathways into deeper self-awareness.

What may seem simple often becomes surprisingly profound.

A coloured yantra reveals an unexpected insight.

A story sparks a forgotten memory.

A conversation changes the way someone sees a challenge in her life.

The smallest moments often become the most transformative.

The Space Between

Perhaps the greatest gift is not the teachings, the stories, or even the practices.

It is the space itself.

A caring, supportive field where women can be authentic.

A place where curiosity is welcomed.

Where vulnerability is met with kindness.

Where laughter and tears are equally at home.

Where no one needs to have all the answers.

And it is often in this space that the most beautiful surprises emerge.

New friendships.

New ideas.

New possibilities.

New confidence.

New ways of seeing.

New ways of being.

What Might Emerge?

One of the most wonderful things about gathering with intention is that we never fully know what will unfold.

The original Way of the Goddess journey itself emerged through women exploring the Goddess together.

The book was one expression of that collective exploration.

What might emerge from the next gathering?

I don't know.

And perhaps that is part of the mystery.

What I do know is this:

When women meet with intention, creativity, openness, and heart, something greater than any individual often begins to move through the circle.

Doors open.

Connections deepen.

Wisdom emerges.

And a little bit of magic enters the world.
